Sugarcane
has the characteristic of sweet that is its dharma.medicines have the
characteristic of bitterness,fire has
characteristic of hotness. Snake has characteristic of biting. Snake can’t give up it. Sugarcane can’t give up characteristic of sweetness. We
can’t change it. Stone is solid we can’t change its characteristic it is its
dharma.
Your next question may be that, if dharma is the natural characteristic of a man then only why few persons can come in touch of it if it resides in everybody. The simple answer is that those creatures are unable to get the blessings of god. A leaf can’t displace from its position without the sanction of god then who are we ? We are only slave of god and we can’t do nothing.
Let
us try to understand dharma deeply. I have said earlier that dharma is the
natural characteristics or it is a set of rules and regulations set up by the
supreme personality.I am giving support to my point that how dharma is a set of
rules and regulations. For instance according to dharma killing any living
creature is a sinful activity that’s why we call a killer as a bad person who
takes or destroys lives of many living creatures.killing of any living creature
may it be an ant or elephant is a sinful activity.Even trying to hurt any
living creature is also a sinful activity.
Types
of dharma:-
There
are basically two types of dharma
1
pashu dharma
2
maanav dharma
pashu
dharma means the rules followed by the animals including eating, sleeping,
scarness, sex. These are virtues of animals. These are essential for animals to
survive. these four activities may differentiate an animal from a person.
Maanav
dharma is a broad term it has itself a broad meaning the dharma followed by human beings is known
as maanav dharma. Serving any person or animal is the maanav dharma. Everybody
in this material world is refracted from the original path of maanav dharma.
Everybody is serving some other person(s) in this material world.
For example a married lady is serving her husband, her children & other
family members. That is her dharma. A person working in a company serving his
boss is also his dharma. He has to follow it. Father and mother serve their
children that is their dharma they have to follow it, known as pitra dharma and
matra dharma respectively. Soldiers are serving their nation that is their
dharma. They must follow it.
But
by doing this much only is not the path of liberation. Only by serving the material things we can’t
achieve perfection and liberation. If we
serve in perfect direction and perfect person(following dharma) then it can
only be considered as work of perfection. But if it is misunderstood then it
means we are serving maaya not dharma.
Best
dharma:-
Set
of rules given by god itself in the epics and scriptures is dharma anything
else cannot be considered as dharma. But here we will consider that what is
super dharma. Then answer of this question is ahinsa. It is the super dharma.
Therefore it is said that.
Ahinsa
permo dharma
Now
it is asked by many persons that either service of god is the service of human
being or service of human being is the service of god. different devotees have
different answers of the questions or there may be conflict between there
answers. But according to my view service of human being is the service of god.
How
can we inspired about dharma:
Do
not try to get dharma from outside world.Try to get it from inside. It resides
inside each and every living and non living things.try to uncover it as it is
covered by maaya or bad things. The next question arises in the mind is how to
get aware of dharma, how we come to know about it? The perfect answer is to go
to the guru or religious persons or to read epics and scriptures. The guru should
must having sound knowledge of dharma and must have pure heart.for example if want to know about a family then what will you do? You
will simply go to the head of the family and try to know everything about the
family from him.
Similarly
guru can be considered as the head of the family in this material world.
You
can know about the path of dharma from your spiritual guru or
dharmik(spiritual) persons otherwise you will be refracted from your path of
dharma.
I
think you are get better understand about dharma from this theory about dharma.
Dharma
is very wide concept but here I have tried to explore it briefly in a better
way. So try to uncover dharma and taste it.
